Guides and answers for running your Minecraft server on OmenHosting.
Getting Started
New to OmenHosting? Here's how to get your server running:
- Pick a plan on the pricing page and complete checkout on our billing portal.
- Your server credentials and control panel link are emailed to you as soon as the server is provisioned.
- Log into the control panel to start your server, upload world files, and install plugins or mods.
- Share your server address with friends and connect using the Minecraft client version that matches your server's version.
Billing & Payments
Common questions about orders and billing:
- All plans are billed monthly unless you choose a longer billing cycle at checkout.
- You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your billing account.
- OmenHosting is completely free — there is no billing or payment to refund.
- Billing and account management is handled through our billing portal, separate from the game server control panel.
Server Management
Managing your server day-to-day:
- Use the file manager in your control panel to upload and edit world files, configs, and plugin jars directly in the browser.
- Daily backups are taken automatically; you can also trigger a manual backup before making major changes.
- Restart or reinstall your server software (Paper, Forge, Fabric, Vanilla, and more) from the panel's software selector.
- Use the built-in console to run commands and monitor live server output without needing FTP.
Troubleshooting
If something isn't working as expected:
- Can't connect to your server? Double-check the server address and port, and confirm the server is running from the control panel.
- Plugin or mod not loading? Make sure the plugin/mod version matches your server's Minecraft version and server software.
- Server running slowly? Check your plan's RAM usage in the panel — consider upgrading if you're consistently near your limit.
- Still stuck? Reach out on our Discord server and our team will help you out.
